The public has one month to comment on plans for a community garden in Tamworth.The creation of the Community Garden requires alterations toTamworth's Victoria Park MasterPlan.John Simpson, from the TamworthCommunity Organic Gardeners,says he looks forward to working with other groups who'll be using the park."We're really lucky in that the proposed block is right next to the TAFE and rightnext to Oxley High School," he said."It's going to have a very educational focus and we're hoping to work with TAFEand also the Miniature Railway people, Men's Shed, Friends of the BotanicGardens and all the other user groups up there to, hopefully, compliment whatthey're doing."Mr Simpson says it will be exciting to get the community involved in the processof planning what will go into the garden."While our members have got all sorts of different ideas of what we'd like in acommunity garden, it is for the whole community to decide what it wants upthere," he said."Every community garden is different and we've really just got to see what thecommunity wants and what people will use.
